Amanda & Phil’s dreamy New York wedding at De Seversky Mansion was the most perfect, gorgeous wedding day. Every detail and moment was actual magic. I photographed this wedding using a mix of digital and film, and the blend brought such a nostalgic, moody softness to the final gallery. That subtle film grain paired so well with the historic elegance of this incredible mansion.
The ceremony took place inside the mansion, in one of the grand rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and ornate woodwork. It felt warm, intimate, and full of emotion. Watching the couple exchange vows surrounded by their closest people… priceless moments. There’s something so special about venues with a deep sense of history, and De Seversky Mansion has that in every corner, inside and outside.
As the sun set, the evening transformed into a candlelit celebration. The reception was held in the main dining room, and the entire space glowed from the flicker of candles and the soft gleam of crystal chandeliers. It was cozy and elegant all at once. There were heartfelt speeches, joyful tears, and dancing that didn’t stop until the very end of the night.
This wedding at De Seversky Mansion was such a dream to document. It was romantic, emotional, and filled with moments I’ll never forget. I feel so lucky to have captured it all and to tell their story through these photographs. I can already tell it’ll be one I look back on often as I head into another year of incredible weddings.
